olumbus, Ohio — Quantum Health, Inc., the market leader in consumer navigation and care coordination, announced today the successful recapitalization of existing shareholders with Great Hill Partners as its new financial sponsor.

This partnership will accelerate existing initiatives to further Quantum Health’s growth and innovation in helping consumers navigate their unchosen healthcare journey, resulting in better health outcomes and cost savings for large self-insured employers and their plan members.
Under this agreement, the existing Quantum Health management team remains a substantial shareholder and will continue to lead the company moving forward.

William Blair & Company, LLC, acted as exclusive financial advisor to Quantum Health. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Quantum Health, Inc. announced that it has appointed Bob Ihrie to its Board of Advisors. Mr. Ihrie served in several roles during his sixteen years at Lowe’s Companies, Inc. but spent the majority of his career as Senior Vice President of Compensation and Benefits. In this role, he was responsible for the strategic direction of the companies’ compensation, benefits, and leave and accommodation programs for all 280,000 employees.
Quantum Health announced that Michael Formica has been named Executive Vice President of Sales, effective January 1, 2017. In the past year, Formica was instrumental in adding several marquee clients in the large and jumbo group market, which led to Quantum Health’s high increase in enrollment in its history at a 45% year-over-year growth. Formica joined Quantum Health in 2013 as Senior Vice President of Sales. As the leader of both the regional and national sales teams, Formica worked closely with the executive and marketing teams to develop business goals and implement sales and communication strategies. Jim Stark, Executive Vice President of Sales since 2008, will be stepping down after 45 years in the healthcare industry.
Quantum Health, Inc. announced the appointment of Scott Kinzer as vice president of National Accounts. Scott will lead all sales and business development efforts among large self-insured employers along the West Coast. Prior to joining Quantum Health, Kinzer served as Vice President of Employer Solutions at SHAPEUP, Inc, where he was responsible for market strategy and forecasting while leading the sales team in the West and Mid-West regions. Kinzer also served as vice president of business development for the Health Fitness Corporation, where he led sales and strategic planning for the West region. Earlier in his career, he served as a senior account executive at both Free and Clear and WebMD Health, managing employer market sales, which included developing sales and market strategies as well as building and maintaining relationships with employers and consultants in the Northwest and Midwest regions. In addition, Scott has consulted employers on health and productivity solutions and hospitals on the development of wellness programs and rehab centers.
